We Got a Call!!

Last Thursday, we got a call from a social worker (sw)!!! YEAH!!!

She has a respite placement for us of a three year old.  This is came as a great surprise.  We were thinking that we would start off with an infant.  But we are ready for the challenge and taking a different road.  We are very excited as this might become a full time placement in the near future.  Respite Care means that this child is already placed in a home, but they need a time away or temporary relief of caring for the child.  We are more than excited about the placement, but we are still waiting for the SW to call us back.  We are hoping that she was able to contact the current placement family and get something worked about.

We were hoping to start every other weekend.  This weekend would have been perfect to start, but it was so close to when she called, that it didn't work out.  Next weekend, Jeremy works, so we don't really want to do it then, unless absolutely necessary.  Then the next weekend, we have training.  Uhhhh....time will tell what we end up doing!
